TOURNAMENT POLICIES

 CANCELLATIONS/NO-SHOWS/REFUNDS
Teams that cancel their registration at least 24 hours prior to check in are eligible for a full refund of their entry fee.  Teams cancelling less than 24 hours prior to check will not receive a refund.  Regardless of whether or not a refund is available, any registered team that is not going to participate is expected to communicate that to us.  If a registered team no-shows they will not be permitted to participate in the next tournament.  Sending an email within 4 hours of check in time will be considered a no-show (emails are not checked that close to check in time).  In that case, call Third Coast and speak to a human (do not leave a message – call back & speak to a human) in order to not be considered a no-show.

ELIGIBILITY
We reserve the right to determine whether or not a player or team is eligible for any division in all 3C tournaments!  The Tournament Director’s decision is final.  If you have a question about your team’s eligibility please ask prior to registering.

READY, WILLING & ABLE!
During a tournament, if a team is not ready to start their game
& play (NOT ready to warm up…..ready to PLAY!) 7 minutes after
the previous match ends, the team is charged 1 point per minute
until 5 points are accumulated.  At that time, the game will be automatically forfeited.  We wait for no one!!  Warm up on the
side, on the grass or in your head!

COMPLETE TEAMS CHECK IN
Only complete teams (all players present) may check in.  Late teams will be removed from the tournament.

NO SAND-BAGGING!
This is when players/teams deliberately play in a lower division
to either have an easy day or knowing they will win. This is not fair to those who play in the appropriate division, and it is not the intended spirit of our tournaments.  We reserve the right to determine player/team eligibility for all divisions in all tournaments. The Tournament Director’s decision is final.

REVERSE SAND-BAGGING
This is when players sign up for divisions above their skill level  (ie: ‘BB/up int’ players may not play in ‘Open’ divisions). We appreciate the fact some want to ‘play up’, but when players
do this it eliminates the need for different divisions. We reserve the right to determine player eligibility for all divisions at all tournaments. The Tournament Director’s decision is final. If
you have a question as to what division(s) you are eligible for…..please ask…..before registering for a tournament. play@thirdcoastvolleyball.com
