KIM STECH

Meet our Juniors Coach Kim Stech!

Hi I’m Coach Kim.  I graduated from Weimar High School, where I was a 3 sport successful athlete.  Not only did I excel in volleyball,

I was ranked 2nd in Texas and one of the top 100m hurdlers in the Nation.  I was also one of the ranked as one of the best Basketball players in the state of Texas.

I chose to play volleyball on scholarship at Navarro College, in Corsicana, TX.  I was Captain of the Lady Bulldogs team and helped lead Navarro College to our 1st Conference championship in the history of the school.  I also made history being the 1st volleyball player at Navarro to ever be awarded 1st-team all-Conference and 1st team all-Region.

I transferred to University of North Texas, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Parks and Recreation.

I’m also a certified teacher within Art, PE, and Special Education.  This will be my 18th year teaching, and I currently teach at Austin High School in Sugarland.

Being a three-sport athlete has given me opportunities to coach several sports, and the knowledge and experience to help athletes develop proper mechanics and to have a passion and love for their sport.  I’ve trained/ coached at sports camps in Austin, TX and New York City in volleyball/basketball.  I’ve also been a head varsity tennis coach, track and field, and basketball coach for 6 years at Terry HS.  Furthermore, I’ve also coached indoor club volleyball at Fort Bend Express.

My love for volleyball has been passed on to my beautiful daughters, Logan and Raven.  When they were 3 and 4 years old, they were up at Third Coast watching their mama playJ And now as teenagers, it is so awesome to be able to watch my daughters play.  Sand/ Beach volleyball has been something we love for many years.  Third Coast Volleyball is like family for us.  I truly love coaching and training at 3C!

Other hobbies that I enjoy are cooking, painting, traveling, and just spending time with family and friends.

As an indoor volleyball player, Sitler began his career at Newman University in Wichita, Kansas, before playing three seasons at King College in Bristol, Tennessee. During his collegiate career, he coached club programs in both Wichita and Bristol, in addition to the Houston area during the summers.

Sitler graduated from King College with a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication and Political Science in 2010. He received a Master of Arts in Communication from UTPA in 2014.
