Meet our Junior’s Head Coach Cameron Sitler!

đNative of Pearland, Texas
đAs an indoor volleyball player, Sitler began his career at Newman University in Wichita, Kansas, before playing three seasons at King College in Bristol, Tennessee. During his collegiate career, he coached club programs in both Wichita and Bristol, in addition to the Houston area during the summers.
đSitler joined the HBU Huskies in 2014 after serving as an assistant coach at Texas-Pan American from 2010-2014. He also served as High Performance Coach and developed the Sting Sand Volleyball Program in 2014. He had been a club coach and tier trainer for the Rio Grande Valley Juniors since 2011 and served on the 2011 Junior Olympic staff.
đHe was named the head coach for the Huskiesâ beach volleyball program following the 2018 season, after two years as associate head coach and one as assistant coach.

During the first two seasons of HBUâs Beach Program, Sitler helped guide the Huskies to a 7-11 record in their 2016 inaugural campaign, then a 12-14 mark in their second year. Â In 2017, HBU enjoyed its first winning season, going 17-15 and capturing the Southland Showcase title. Â In 2018, The Huskiesâ number one pair of Aeriel Horton and Jessica Wooten and the number two combo of Kayla Armer and Tori Hinojosa each qualified for the USA Volleyball Beach Championships, with Horton and Wooten advancing to bracket play.
Sitler has guided the Huskies Beach Program to back-to-back Southland Showcase titles ahead of hosting the leagueâs first official Championship to be held in the spring of 2020 at Third Coast Volleyball.

Sitler graduated from King College with a Bachelorâs degree in Technical Communication and Political Science in 2010. He received a Master of Arts in Communication from UTPA in 2014.
